Plan Your Visit

Where are you located?

We are located at 800 Gunters Avenue in Guntersville, Alabama

What time does Sunday morning worship begin?

The worship service starts at 10:00 am.

Where should I enter the building?

The best place to enter is at the front doors (under the big

steeple) that faces Gunter Avenue. That is where you will meet

greeters that will welcome you, give you a program, help you

find a place to sit, and answer any questions you may have.

How long will the service last?

The Sunday morning worship service lasts about one hour.

What is the service like?

During the service there will be a time of communion, singing, praying, preaching and collection. Communion is open to everyone who wishes to participate. Everyone is also invited to join in the congregational acapella singing. Collection of funds is for church members only, visitors are not asked or expected to contribute. No one will ever be singled out or pressured to participate in a way that makes them uncomfortable.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Most people wear casual dress. Some put on their “Sunday Best.” Wear what makes you comfortable.

Is there a nursery for children?

Yes. A staffed nursery is available for children up to 2 years old. The nursery is staffed by members of the congregation. Greeters will be happy to direct you to the nursery.

Are there activities for older children?

Yes. After the communion service children ages 3 through kindergarten are invited to attend children’s worship. Greeters will guide you to the proper location.

Will my family be safe?

In today’s environment safety at the Guntersville Church of Christ is a major concern. Some security measures are visible while others are more low profile. Every effort is made to ensure that everyone in the facility is safe and secure.
